Number Of New Covid-19 Cases Up 80.2% To 24,440, Number Of Deaths Up 2.3 Times To 287 On February 21

On February 21, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 24,440 over February 20 to 4,758,773, and the number of deaths increased by 287 over February 20 to 104,932; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 80.2%, and the number of new deaths increased 2.3 times.

The Health Ministry has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to the report, as of the morning of February 22, a total of 4,758,773 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 104,932 deaths; 3,985,601 had recovered.

On February 21, a total of 24,440 new disease cases were recorded, 287 people died, and 33,238 people recovered.

Therefore, as of February 21, the number of newly infected people was lower than that of those recovered (24,440 vs 33,238).

At the same time, on February 21, a total of 1,553 coronavirus-infected people were hospitalized, down 17.7% over February 20.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on February 20, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 13,562 over February 19 to 4,734,333, and the number of deaths increased by 127 over February 19 to 104,645; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 22.3%, and the number of new deaths decreased by 16.4%.

On February 19, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 17,448 over February 17 to 4,720,771, and the number of deaths increased by 152 over February 18 to 104,518; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 43.9%, and the number of new deaths decreased by 41.5%.
