On January 31, the number of coronavirus-infected people in the city of Kyiv rose by 161 over January 30 to 128,550, and the number of deaths rose by five to 2,370.

Kyiv City Mayor / Chairperson of the Kyiv City State Administration, Vitali Klitschko, announced this on Facebook, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The mayor said the total number of confirmed cases is 128,550.

There were 82 women aged 18-88; 73 men aged 19-81; two girls aged 5-7; and four boys aged 1-11 among the people infected with the coronavirus on January 31.

Besides, four medical workers fell ill.

In the capital's hospitals over the past day, 45 people were hospitalized, the rest are on self-isolation, under the supervision of doctors.

A total of 764 people recovered in the capital for the previous day.

For all the time, 69,322 residents of Kyiv have overcome the coronavirus.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on January 30, the number of coronavirus-infected people in the city of Kyiv rose by 215 over January 28 to 128,389, and the number of deaths rose by 16 to 2,365.

On January 31, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 2,030 over January 30 to 1,221,485, and the number of deaths increased by 61 over January 30 to 22,768; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 36.1%, and the number of new lethal cases decreased by 22.8%.

According to the report, as at the morning of February 1, there were 1,221,485 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases registered in Ukraine, the number included 22,768 lethal cases; besides, 1,023,915 people had recovered.

On January 31, a total of 2,030 new cases of the disease were recorded, 61 people died, and 5,131 people recovered.

Therefore, as at January 31, the indicator of newly-infected people was lower than the number of those, who recovered (5,131 vs 2,030).

As at the morning of February 1, the overall number of those, who are staying ill with the Covid-19 (less the recovered and died) made 174,802, down 1.7% over January 31.

Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (128,549), Odesa region (81,462), and Kharkiv region (77,978).
