Number Of New Covid-19 Cases Down 36.1% To 2,030, Number Of New Lethal Cases Down 22.8% To 61 On January 31

On January 31, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 2,030 over January 30 to 1,221,485, and the number of deaths increased by 61 over January 30 to 22,768; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 36.1%, and the number of new lethal cases decreased by 22.8%.

The National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to the report, as at the morning of February 1, there were 1,221,485 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases registered in Ukraine, the number included 22,768 lethal cases; besides, 1,023,915 people had recovered.

On January 31, a total of 2,030 new cases of the disease were recorded, 61 people died, and 5,131 people recovered.

Therefore, as at January 31, the indicator of newly-infected people was lower than the number of those, who recovered (5,131 vs 2,030).

As at the morning of February 1, the overall number of those, who are staying ill with the Covid-19 (less the recovered and died) made 174,802, down 1.7% over January 31.

Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (128,549), Odesa region (81,462), and Kharkiv region (77,978).

Besides, Lviv region has registered a total of 71,332 coronavirus infection cases, Kyiv region – 69,325; Dnipropetrovsk region – 67,789 cases, Zaporizhia region – 65,725, Ivano-Frankivsk region – 48,903, Rivne region – 45,928, Sumy region – 45,919, Cherkasy region - 45,730, Chernivtsi region – 45,641, Zhytomyr region – 44,635, Donetsk region – 44,165, and Khmelnytskyi region – 43,951.

A total of 43,197 cases have been registered in Poltava region, 39,090 cases – in Mykolayiv region, 37,894 cases - in Ternopil region, 36,877 cases - in Volyn region, 33,873 cases – in Chernihiv region, 31,871 cases – in Zakarpattia region, 27,157 cases – in Vinnytsia region, 20,747 cases – in Kherson region, 13,938 – in Luhansk region, and 9,809 cases – in Kirovohrad region.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on January 30, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 3,177 over January 29 to 1,219,455, and the number of deaths increased by 79 over January 29 to 22,707; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 32.2%, and the number of new lethal cases decreased by 47%.

On January 29, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 4,685 over January 28 to 1,216,278, and the number of deaths increased by 149 over January 28 to 22,628; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 9.5%, and the number of new lethal cases increased by 16.4%.
