On January 18, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 12,815 over January 17 to 3,780,903, and the number of deaths increased by 163 over January 17 to 98,712; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 49.7%, and the number of new deaths decreased by 13.3%.

This follows from data of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to the report, as of the morning of January 19, a total of 3,780,903 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases were registered in Ukraine; the number included 98,712 deaths; 3,567,336 had recovered.

On January 18, a total of 12,815 new disease cases were recorded, 163 people died, and 5,413 people recovered.

Therefore, as of January 18, the number of newly infected people was higher than that of those who recovered (12,815 vs 5,413).

At the same time, on January 18, a total of 2,401 coronavirus-infected people were hospitalized, up 2.1 times over January 17.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on January 17, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 8,558 over January 16 to 3,768,088, and the number of deaths increased by 188 over January 16 to 98,549; at the same time, the number of new cases increased by 68.7%, and the number of new deaths increased 2.4 times.

On January 16, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 5,072 over January 15 to 3,759,530, and the number of deaths increased by 78 over January 15 to 98,361; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 20.5%, and the number of new deaths decreased by 11.4%.
