MP Medvedchuk Arrives At PGO

Member of Parliament Viktor Medvedchuk (Opposition Platform - For Life faction) arrived at the Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO).

He arrived at the PGO at about 04:20 p.m., Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Medvedchuk said that he urgently returned from another region, where he was on vacation.

He noted that he was not served with suspicion and did not know what it was about.

He also stated that he is ready for a possible arrest.

"Of course, I am ready for any outcome. But it will be a violation of the law, because there are no grounds for this," the MP noted.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Medvedchuk stated that he is in Ukraine and did not intend to hide from justice.

The Security Service of Ukraine claims that Medvedchuk handed over secret information about the deployment of the Ukrainian military unit to the Russian authorities in 2020.

Earlier, Prosecutor General Iryna Venediktova signed a suspicion of high treason and attempted plunder of national resources in Crimea to MPs from the Opposition Platform - For Life Viktor Medvedchuk and Taras Kozak.
