The Justice Ministry of Ukraine says there is evidence that the Tochka tactical ballistic missiles fired from the territory of the Russian Federation razed the Luhansk international airport in 2014.

Representative of the Cabinet of Ministers for the European Court of Human Rights / deputy justice minister Ivan Lyschyna said this in an interview for the Fakty newspaper, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

He says the Justice Ministry continues collection of evidence of Russia's participation in the battles in Donbas.

In particular, the ministry has managed to establish that the Russian Federation shelled the Ukrainian territory.

"As for the shelling of our territory before the invasion of the regular Russian army late in August, we have established virtually all facts... Do you remember there were rumors in the summer of 2014 that the Luhansk airport had been shelled by the tactical nuclear weapon? This was untrue, of course. But our State Border Guard Service registered bombardment by the Tochka tactical missiles from the side of Russia... Launches on that territory. They razed the airport," he said.

The Russian helicopters also fired missiles at Ukrainian frontier guards.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in September 2014, then Defense Minister of Ukraine Valerii Heletei said the Russian troops used the Tyulpan self-propelled mortar, which is capable of firing nuclear ammunition, during the shelling of the Luhansk international airport.
