Taras Kachka is Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration (since July 17, 2025) and Ukraine’s Trade Representative.

He was born on July 28, 1979, in the village of Dymytrove in the Kirovohrad region.

Education

He received a bachelor’s degree in Law from the International Scientific and Technical University (Kyiv) and a master’s degree in Law from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

From 2004 to 2005, he studied at the National School of Public Administration in Warsaw (Poland), majoring in public administration.

Career

From 2001 to 2004, he worked as a senior specialist at the Center for European and Comparative Law of the Ministry of Justice.

From 2005 to 2009, he served as Deputy Director and Head of the Department for Harmonization of Legislation at the Ministry of Justice; from 2009 to 2011, he served as First Deputy Director of the department.

In 2011, he headed the Department of International Economic Relations at the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.

From 2014 to 2015, he served as Vice President for Strategic Development and Acting President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine.

From 2019 to 2025, he served as Deputy Minister of Economy and Trade Representative of Ukraine.

On July 17, 2025, he was appointed Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine; since July 30, 2025, he has continued to serve as Ukraine’s Trade Representative.

Family

Married, with three children.
