Russian oil exports to Hungary and Slovakia via the Druzhba pipeline returned to normal levels of 165,000 barrels per day in May.
It was reported by Ekonomichna Pravda, citing Reuters.
The report states that Slovakia and Hungary began receiving oil via the pipeline on April 23 after a several-month hiatus.
May was the first full month of oil supplies via this route since its resumption.
According to sources, in April, Hungary and Slovakia received only 55,000 barrels per day, as the route operated for only one week.
It is noted that although pipeline flow is now unrestricted, May deliveries were lower than the 200,000–235,000 barrels per day recorded before the shutdown, as the countries began to diversify their imports.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on April 23, russian oil began flowing again to Hungary and Slovakia via the Druzhba pipeline.
On April 21, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine had repaired the Druzhba pipeline, which had been damaged as a result of a russian attack.
