The Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court met MP Anna Skorokhod's demands and canceled her obligation to wear an electronic bracelet because it prevents her from wearing winter boots. Instead, the court increased her bail from UAH 3 million to UAH 4 million.

The court told the Ukrainian News agency about this.

At the court hearing, Skorokhod's lawyer said that the bail amount was unreasonable.

"The bail proposed by the prosecutor and the investigating judge is too high and unreasonable. If the panel does not find grounds to cancel this decision in full, we believe it would be appropriate to change the preventive measure to a personal obligation, the only thing we ask is to cancel the obligation to wear an electronic bracelet," the lawyer said.

Also, according to the lawyers, wearing a bracelet for Skorokhod negatively affects her daily performance of official duties, work in the frontline areas, as well as the ability to carry out daily procedures and wear comfortable shoes and clothes, especially in winter.

Skorokhod brought winter boots to the court hearing to show that she could not wear them because of the electronic bracelet. The SAPO prosecutor asked to raise Skorokhod's bail to UAH 10 million and dismiss the defense lawyers' appeals.

The HACC Appeals Chamber partially granted Anna Skorokhod's motion and removed her electronic bracelet. The court increased Skorokhod's bail to UAH 4 million. Before that, she wore an electronic bracelet.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, MP Anna Skorohod, who is suspected of bribery, was bailed in the amount of UAH 3,028,000 by "third parties". Shortly before being suspected of bribery, MP Anna Skorohod bought an apartment in Vyshhorod near Kyiv for UAH 2.5 million. The NABU released a video of searches with the participation of MP Anna Skorohod, who was served with a notice of suspicion the day before. Skorohod demanded USD 250,000 bribe to impose NSDC sanctions on a company. The SSU, NABU and SAPO in Kyiv exposed an organized group headed by the MP. The law enforcement agencies conducted searches. Skorokhod became rich, and her ex-husband, a fugitive russian, started making money on shelters in Ukraine. Skorokhod denied the accusations of extortion and said that the NABU photos of her search were fake.
