Member of Parliament Hanna Skorokhod said that she did not demand a bribe from an entrepreneur and said that the National Anti-Corruption Bureau's (NABU) photo from her search was fake.
She wrote about this on Facebook, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"NABU published photos from the "search site", which show money, some kitchen and a bedroom. I officially declare: this is a photo from someone else's apartment. I specially recorded a video in which I am forced to give you a room tour of the overturned apartment. I do not have that kitchen, I do not have that tile and the money that they showed in the photo in some room - not mine. Neither the money, nor the room.
The manipulation, designed to appeal to people's emotions, worked. But now my version: they turned everything upside down, climbed into every crack. And what did they find? Nothing. That's why they decided to illustrate the news with fake photos," Skorokhod wrote.
According to her, the audio recordings that NABU posted are classic montage and clippings out of context.
"The full version looks completely different, and I will give additional comments on this matter. I am not arrested. I was served with a suspicion, but they could not support it with anything. I am ready to cooperate, because I have nothing to hide. Moreover, I will demand a full investigation of this provocation," the MP added.
She linked these events to her business trip to the United States and stated that there was pressure to disrupt the trip.
"The most important thing. Why now? The event in question in the case, according to the video, supposedly happened back in September. Why did the searches take place today? The answer is simple. This "special operation" strangely coincided with my business trip to the United States of America. This does not look like investigative actions, but like fabricated hastily made political pressure, the purpose of which is to disrupt my trip to international meetings. Because they know that my cooperation with the US is effective and is gaining significant momentum. Someone does not want it to continue," the parliamentarian added.
Skorokhod stated that NABU as a result received absolute public trust and "flushed it down the toilet for the sake of a political order."
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, NABU released a video recording of searches involving MP Hanna Skorokhod, who was declared suspicious the day before. Skorokhod demanded a bribe of USD 250,000 for the introduction of National Security and Defense Council's (NSDC) sanctions against one of the companies. The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU), NABU, and Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) in Kyiv exposed an organized group led by the MP. She is currently being searched. Skorokhod became rich, and her ex-husband, a russian fugitive, began to earn money on shelters in Ukraine.
