A law that gives critical defense industry enterprises the right to hire employees with improper military registration documents for 45 days came into force on December 4. This is stated in the message of the Verkhovna Rada on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"Today, the Law on the Booking of Employees Liable for Military Service at Enterprises, Institutions and Organizations Critical to the Needs of the Armed Forces and Other Military Formations came into force," the statement said.

In the case of concluding an employment contract with persons who have violated the rules of military registration, the reservation will be granted for a period not exceeding 45 days (probationary period).

After such persons eliminate violations of the rules of military registration within 45 days, the reservation will be provided on a general basis, and in case of failure to eliminate violations, such a person may be dismissed.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on October 9, the Verkhovna Rada gave critical defense industry enterprises the right to book people who have improperly executed military registration documents for 45 days.

On November 3, after signing by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the law was published in the parliamentary newspaper Holos Ukrainy. The law comes into force one month after the day following its publication.

The Cabinet of Ministers has been instructed to bring its regulations in line with this law within one month of its publication.
