US Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent said that US President Donald Trump will consider sanctions against russia this week in response to the recent massive attacks on Ukraine.
He said this in an interview with Fox News.
So, when asked about possible US sanctions against the aggressor state of russia, Bessent replied, "I think everything is on the table."
"President putin, after the historic meeting in Anchorage, after the phone call when European leaders and President Zelenskyy were at the White House the following Monday, did the opposite of what he said he wanted to do. In fact, he has, in the most disgusting, most disgusting way, escalated the bombing," he stressed.
"So I think all options are open to President Trump, and we will be looking very carefully at them this week."
Recall that the death toll from the massive airstrike on Kyiv on the night of August 28 has risen to 23. The russian attack on the night of August 28 damaged the EU mission in Kyiv, as well as the British Council building. A British Council guard was injured during the russian attack on Kyiv.
