EU mission building damaged in russian attack. EU ambassador's reaction

On the night of August 28, russian troops launched a massive strike on Kyiv, damaging the building of the European Union mission in Ukraine.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said that russia " targeted diplomats—in direct breach of the Vienna convention."

According to him, "the EU mission to Ukraine was damaged. This requires not only the EU's, but worldwide condemnation. We express solidarity with our EU colleagues and are ready to provide assistance."

Sybiha stressed that Ukraine expects a strong international response. "Russia killed at least 8 people, including a child, and targeted civilian infrastructure. Whatever Putin said in Alaska, his real actions reject diplomacy, dialogue, and peace efforts.," the Foreign Minister noted.

In turn, the EU Ambassador to Ukraine Katarína Mathernová confirmed the damage to the building where the EU delegation works. She wrote: "Russia's "peace" last night: a massive strike on Kyiv with drones and ballistic missiles. At least 10 killed, 30 injured, many buildings destroyed. The EU Delegation was severely damaged by the shock wave. This is Moscow's true answer to peace efforts."

Katarína Mathernová stressed that the attack is proof that the kremlin does not intend to follow the path of peace.

Recall that the russian federation launched 11 ballistic, 20 cruise missiles and 598 drones at Ukraine. Not all targets were shot down.
