Starting today, violations of mobilization legislation will be punished with fine of up to UAH 25,000

The law, which introduced a fine for violations of the legislation on defense, mobilization training and mobilization in a special period in the amount from UAH 17,000 to UAH 25,500, entered into force.

This is stated in the text of the law, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The law was adopted by the Verkhovna Rada on May 9, and the next day it was handed over to the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, for signature.

On May 14, the speaker of the parliament signed the document, on the same day the law was handed over to Zelenskyy, who signed it on May 17.

On May 18, the Holos Ukrainy published the law on mobilization.

The law enters into force one day after the day following its publication - May 19.

According to it, violation of the legislation on defense, mobilization training and mobilization in a special period (in particular, during martial law) entails the imposition of a fine on citizens from 1,000 to 1,500 of the tax-free minimum income of citizens (from UAH 17,000 to UAH 25,500).

For officials of state authorities, local self-government bodies, legal entities and public associations, the fine will be from 2,000 to 3,500 of the tax-free minimum income of citizens (from UAH 34,000 to UAH 59,500).

Violation of military registration regulations by conscripts, those liable for military service, and reservists in a special period (in particular during martial law) is proposed to be punished with a fine in the amount of 1,000 to 1,500 tax-free minimum incomes of citizens (from UAH 17,000 to UAH 25,500).

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the law on mobilization entered into force on May 18.

Member of the Verkhovna Rada, head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Law Enforcement Serhii Ionushas said that for each violation of the regulations of military registration, a person can be fined separately.

Territorial recruitment centers will issue fines in absentia for violations of mobilization legislation.
