Overnight into Friday, March 29, during a massive combined attack, russian invaders once again hit energy facilities.
This was reported by Ukrenergo in Telegram.
"Thermal and hydroelectric power plants in the central and western regions were damaged," the report says.
It is reported that emergency shutdowns are currently applied in the Dnipropetrovsk Region, and hourly shutdowns are in place in the Kharkiv Region.
In Telegram, the Ministry of Energy specified that the enemy hit objects in the Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, and Cherkasy Regions. The targets of the attack by drones and missiles were, in particular, electricity generation facilities.
"Power engineers and rescuers are already working on liquidation of the consequences," the department emphasized.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, overnight into Friday, March 22, russia carried out the largest recent attack on Ukraine's energy system.
On March 26, during the day, a record-breaking amount of electricity from the beginning of the year - 18,649 MWh - is scheduled to be exported from Romania, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, and Moldova.
Last summer, Ukrenergo already called on Ukrainians to save electricity and turn on air conditioners less.
