President Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed Vadym Filashkin as the head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, Oleksandr Koval as the head of the Rivne Regional State Administration. This is stated in decrees No. 857 and No. 858 of December 27, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
At the same time, by order No. 220 of December 27, Zelenskyy dismissed Koval from the post of the head of the Rivne District State Administration of the Rivne Region according to the application submitted by him.
48-year-old Filashkin since February 2019 served as a deputy chairman of the Donetsk Regional State Administration. In 2015-2016, he was a deputy head of the Main Department of the National Police in the Donetsk Region.
36-year-old Koval headed the Rivne District State Administration since March 2021. From December 2019 to December 2020, he headed the Kostopil District State Administration. During December 2020 - March 2021, he was the first deputy mayor of the Kostopil City Council.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on December 12, the Cabinet of Ministers agreed on the appointment by Zelenskyy of Filashkin as the chairman of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, and Koval as the chairman of the Rivne Regional State Administration.
In September, Zelenskyy dismissed the head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko, who had held this position since July 2019, and the Verkhovna Rada appointed Kyrylenko as the chairman of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine.
In November, the Verkhovna Rada appointed Vitalii Koval, who had held the position of the head of the Rivne Regional State Administration since September 2019, as the head of the State Property Fund.
