Budanov calls negotiations in Geneva difficult

The next round of negotiations with the delegations of the United States and the aggressor state of russia was difficult, but important. This was reported on Facebook by the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, on Wednesday, February 18.

The head of the Office of the President noted that the Ukrainian side is preparing to continue the negotiations, which are due to take place in the near future.

"The next round of negotiations in Geneva has been completed. The conversation was difficult, but important. Together with the team, we are preparing to continue - in the near future. We will stand firm," Budanov wrote.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on February 18, the second day of negotiations with the participation of Ukraine, the United States and the aggressor state of russia on the settlement of the russian-Ukrainian war began in Geneva (Switzerland).

On February 18, US President Donald Trump's special envoy, Steve Witkoff, reported that tangible progress had been achieved after the first day of trilateral talks.

On February 17, a new round of talks between Ukraine and the russian federation, mediated by the US, was held in Geneva.

A member of the Ukrainian delegation, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Rustem Umerov, said that the parties intended to discuss security and humanitarian issues.
