The propaganda of the aggressor country of russia continues to boast about the alleged "capture" of Kupyansk, Kharkiv Region. In fact, about 100 soldiers of the russian army remain blocked in the city.
This was stated by the speaker of the Joint Forces Group Viktor Trehubov on the air of a telethon, his words are quoted by RBC-Ukraine.
According to him, about a hundred occupiers are currently in the territory of Kupyansk.
"There are about 100 people there now, more than 100, definitely less than 200. Something like that," Trehubov said.
He recalled that a little more than a week ago, the Ukrainian military in Kupyansk recorded about 40 unique russian call signs on the radio. As a rule, the occupiers have one walkie-talkie for three or four people.
Trehubov also said that the russians continue to actively use the "flag" tactic to demonstrate alleged control over Kupyansk. There have been cases when russian flags were dropped directly from drones to the occupiers.
The speaker noted that one of the elements of this propaganda is pressure on the command of russian units to deblock the units in the city center. Such attempts by the russians remain unsuccessful.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, last week a video with russian army soldiers allegedly recording it from the southern part of Kupyansk spread online. Later it turned out that the video was filmed in the occupied village of Tavilzhanka, located 20 kilometers from the city.
Recall, on December 17, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, stated that the Defense Forces of Ukraine had regained control over almost 90% of the territory of Kupyansk.
And on December 16, the 13th operational brigade Khartia of the National Guard of Ukraine reported that the occupiers were trying to break through a ground corridor to their units blocked in Kupyansk.
