As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, December 17, russian dictator vladimir putin was once again informed about the "capture" of Kupiansk. This is the fourth public statement by russians about their control over the city in the last month.
On December 12, it became known that the Ukrainian Defense Forces cleared the northwestern part of Kupiansk and several settlements north of the city.
This allowed blocking several hundred russian army soldiers in the center of Kupiansk and retake control of almost 90% of the city.
