White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt said that under the new peace plan, which was worked on by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Trump's Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, Ukraine and russia "will get more than they have to give."
ABC News and Reuters quoted Leavitt's statement.
According to Leavitt, the development of the plan lasted about a month, and it is supported by US President Donald Trump. The spokeswoman emphasized that the document takes into account the "realities of the situation" and is designed to provide a win-win scenario for both sides.
"This plan was developed taking into account the realities of the situation... to find the best scenario that is beneficial to all, in which both sides will get more than they have to give," the White House spokeswoman said.
Recall that the peace plan of the Donald Trump administration provides for territorial concessions by Ukraine, significant restrictions for the Ukrainian army and the fixation in the Constitution of the refusal to join NATO.
While work on the peace plan is ongoing, Ukraine is carefully studying the proposals of American partners regarding the peace plan, expecting the same correct attitude towards the Ukrainian position, media reports about alleged "agreement" or "removal of clauses" have nothing to do with reality.
Ukraine has made an important amendment to the draft US "peace plan", excluding the clause on the verification of all international assistance received by the state.
Also, according to media reports, the US peace plan to end the russian-Ukrainian war allegedly contains a proposal under which Ukraine could transfer part of its territories to russia "on lease".
US President Donald Trump this week approved a document with 28 clauses, the main goal of which is to end russia's war against Ukraine.
