Ukraine identifies key conditions for peace talks - MFA

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha stated that the talks can yield results only after a ceasefire. According to him, Kyiv and international partners insist: no decision "on the path to peace" can be made without Ukraine's participation.

He wrote about this on his page on the social network X.

Sybiha emphasized that the position of Ukraine and its allies is clear and principled: "No one wants peace more than Ukrainians. No one wants peace more than Europeans." At the same time, according to him, russia continues to wage war, trying to erect "new walls on our path to a just and lasting peace" and seeking to "strangle our freedom."

The Minister emphasized that "the unity of transatlantic democracies is stronger than russian imperialism" and expressed his belief that only through joint efforts can we achieve "a decent peace built on reliable security."

Recall that Trump threatened russia with serious consequences in the event of failure of negotiations with putin.

Meanwhile, Trump plans to announce a package of economic incentives during a personal meeting with russian leader vladimir putin, which will take place on August 15. Among them are providing russia with access to Alaska's natural resources, partial lifting of sanctions on the russian aviation industry, as well as the possibility of gaining control over rare earth minerals in temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories in exchange for ending the war against Ukraine.

And the White House has released the schedule of the Trump-putin summit in Anchorage.
