US President Donald Trump said that russia will face very serious consequences if its dictator vladimir putin does not stop his invasion of Ukraine. He made the remarks during a press conference at the Kennedy Center, commenting on an upcoming meeting with the russian leader in Alaska.
Asked whether putin and russia would face consequences if he refused to end the war, Trump stressed: "There will be very serious consequences."
When reporters asked whether he planned to convince the russian president not to strike civilians in Ukraine, the head of the White House noted that he had already had "many good conversations with putin, after which missiles were fired at Ukrainian cities." Therefore, Trump explained, he was not sure that he would be able to convince him this time.
