During his first telephone conversation with Chinese Head Xi Jinping, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz asked him to support efforts to peacefully resolve the russian-Ukrainian war.
According to the Bild newspaper, this was reported by German government spokesman Stefan Cornelius on May 23.
According to him, during his conversation with Xi Jinping, Merz called for support for international efforts to establish a ceasefire between Ukraine and the aggressor country of russia.
