The army of the aggressor country russia is going to launch a "training and combat" launch of the RS-24 intercontinental ballistic missile from the Yars complex on the night of May 19. The purpose of the launch is to intimidate Ukraine and its Western allies.

This is reported by the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

The launch of the missile with training ammunition will take place from a mobile complex near the city of Svobodny, Sverdlovsk Oblast. The task has been assigned to the 433rd regiment of the 42nd division of the 31st army of the russian Strategic Missile Forces.

The RS-24 Yars missile, developed by the moscow Institute of Heat Engineering, is a modification of the Topol-M complex. Its weight is 49 tons, and the flight range exceeds 10,000 kilometers. The first test launch took place in 2007 at the Plesetsk test site, hitting a target at the Kura test site (Kamchatka).

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on November 21, the Air Forces announced that in the morning the occupiers launched an intercontinental ballistic missile over Dnipro.

Later, russian dictator vladimir putin said that russia had used the Oreshnik ballistic missile with a non-nuclear hypersonic capability to strike the city of Dnipro. The missile's hit did not cause any significant damage. No one was injured. Satellite images also did not record any significant traces of the Oreshnik's hit.

The Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine says that russia can launch medium-range missiles only from the Kapustin Yar test sites in the Astrakhan Oblast and the Plesetsk test site in the Arkhangelsk Oblast.
