Russia to go on offensive this summer - NSDC

The russian federation plans to go on the offensive again this summer.

The head of the Center for Countering Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Andrii Kovalenko stated this on Telegram on May 14.

"The information field in Russia fully confirms what I said earlier. Russia plans to continue to advance throughout the summer and will try to pull the rubber and get everyone talking," he wrote.

It is reported that russia wants to use the front in the same way as since 2015, for manipulation.

"It is important now not to give them the opportunity to manipulate the dialogue and maintain the capabilities for offensive actions. The price should be extremely high," the head of the NSDC added.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, according to Syrskyi, in April the russian offensive on the Sumy and Kharkiv Regions had already actually begun, the occupiers increased the number of offensive activities on all main axes.

The Center for Countering Disinformation noted that russian troops have intensified in the direction of the Sumy and Kharkiv Regions, but there is no talk of an offensive on Sumy and Kharkiv at the moment.

The General Staff also clarified Syrskyi’s words about the russian federation's offensive on Sumy and Kharkiv.
