Russian troops have intensified in the direction of the Sumy and Kharkiv Regions, but it is impossible to speak about the offensive on the Sumy and Kharkiv now. This was stated by the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) Andrii Kovalenko.
Thus, the head of the center stated that one should not confuse the Sumy and Kharkiv Regions with the regional centers themselves.
"One should not confuse the words about the Sumy and Kharkiv Regions with the cities of Sumy and Kharkiv. The russians have indeed intensified in the direction of the Sumy and Kharkiv Regions, for quite some time now. But one cannot speak with certainty about the offensive on Sumy and Kharkiv at the moment. These are completely different things. One should not distort the words of the military, they need to be interpreted correctly," he noted.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the russian federation's offensive on the Sumy and Kharkiv Regions has actually begun, the occupiers have increased the number of offensive activities in all main directions.
Earlier, the spokesman for the State Border Guard Service, Andrii Demchenko, reported that russia, with the help of sabotage and reconnaissance groups, is trying to expand the penetration zone into the Sumy Region and transfer hostilities from the Kursk Oblast to the territory of Ukraine.
In recent days, the number of air strikes on the border in the Sumy Region has increased. Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups are also actively penetrating the territory of the region.
