France believes that any peace agreement to end the war unleashed by the aggressor country russia must respect Ukraine's territorial integrity.
According to Yevropeiska Pravda with reference to the AFP agency, the office of French President Emmanuel Macron stated this.
The French leader emphasized that Ukraine's territorial integrity and its European aspirations are "strong demands" for Europe.
The statement from Macron's office came amid reports in a number of media outlets that russian dictator vladimir putin is allegedly ready to stop the war on the current front line. In return, he wants the US to recognize Crimea, which was occupied by russia in 2014, as russian.
The russian dictator also allegedly demands that Ukraine's opportunity to join NATO be permanently blocked.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on April 22, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that official Washington did not propose recognizing Crimea as russian, but a number of American officials were indeed discussing this idea.
Recall, on April 21, the Office of the President of Ukraine stated that Kyiv would not discuss the cession of Crimea to Russia, as this contradicts the Constitution.
And today, April 23, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko, who represents the Ukrainian delegation at the negotiations in London, stated that Ukraine is ready for negotiations, but not for capitulation.
