Ukraine ready for negotiations, but not for capitulation – Svyrydenko on meeting in London

Ukraine is ready for negotiations, but not for capitulation, this is a principled position.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Yuliia Svyrydenko has stated this against the backdrop of negotiations in London on the end of the russian-Ukrainian war.

"There will be no agreement that will give Russia the stronger foundation it needs to regroup and return with greater violence. A complete ceasefire - on the ground, in the air and at sea - is a necessary first step. If Russia chooses a limited pause, Ukraine will respond in kind," she wrote.

According to her, Ukraine will never recognize the occupation of Crimea.

"Our people will not accept a frozen conflict disguised as peace. We will never recognize the occupation of Crimea. And if NATO membership is not granted, Ukraine will demand binding security guarantees - strong enough to deter future aggression and clear enough to ensure lasting peace," Svyrydenko added.

Recall that, according to Sky News, top diplomats from the UK, US, France, Germany and Ukraine have postponed a planned April 23 meeting in London for high-level talks on how to end the russian war.
