The words of the russian dictator vladimir putin in response to the idea of silence on the front are manipulative, as of now he is actually preparing to abandon it.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this in an evening video address on Thursday, March 13.
Zelenskyy noted that putin is afraid to directly tell US President Donald Trump about his desire to continue the war and kill Ukrainians, so he makes manipulative and predictable statements. The russian dictator deliberately does not say "no" directly, but is dragging out the process so that nothing comes of it, the President of Ukraine said. According to him, with American and European capabilities, it is realistic to ensure a regime of silence, organize control and verification, in order to develop a reliable plan to end the war during this time.
"We are not setting conditions that complicate things. Russia is doing it. As we have always said, the only one who will drag things out, the only one who will be unconstructive is Russia. They need war. Putin stole years of peace and continues this war – day after day. Now we need to put pressure on him. We need to impose sanctions that will help. We will continue to work with our American partners, with our European partners, with everyone in the world who wants peace, to force Russia to end the war," Zelenskyy said.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on March 11, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine accepts the US proposal to establish a complete ceasefire, not only regarding missiles, drones and bombs, not only in the Black Sea, but also along the entire front line.
On March 13, an aide to the russian dictator, Yuri Ushakov, said that russia does not want a temporary truce.
On March 13, russian dictator vladimir putin said that russia had allegedly agreed to a ceasefire under a number of conditions.
