Ukraine accepts the US proposal to establish a complete ceasefire, not only regarding missiles, drones and bombs, not only in the Black Sea, but also along the entire front line.
This was announced in an evening address by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy following a meeting with the American team in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, March 11.
Zelenskyy noted that at the meeting with the US, Ukraine proposed silence in the sky (missiles, bombs, long-range drones), silence at sea and the release of prisoners.
"And today in the conversation there was a proposal from the American side to take the first step immediately further and try to establish a complete ceasefire for 30 days, not only regarding missiles, drones and bombs, not only in the Black Sea, but also along the entire front line. Ukraine accepts this proposal, we consider it positive, we are ready to take such a step," the President of Ukraine emphasized.
According to him, now the US must convince russia to do the same, and if they agree, "the silence will work."
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on March 11, the head of the President's Office, Andrii Yermak, said that Ukraine had expressed its readiness to accept the US proposal to immediately introduce a temporary, 30-day ceasefire.
As a reminder, on March 11, Yermak announced the arrival of a Ukrainian delegation to Saudi Arabia for talks between Ukraine and the US.
On March 11, US National Security Advisor Mike Waltz said that talks between Ukraine and the US were "getting there."
