The Ministry of Defense has managed to reduce the training time for F-16 fighter pilots by almost three months.
This was reported by Serhii Melnyk in an interview with ArmyInform.
Melnyk reported that this was achieved thanks to the optimization of the process of obtaining a private pilot certificate by cadets within the framework of the NATO DEEP program.
"The process of obtaining private pilot certificates by cadets has been optimized, which allows reducing the training time for F-16 pilots by almost three months. This provides an important operational advantage in the air," he explained.
Starting in 2025, Norway will move the training of Ukrainian F-16 pilots from Denmark to Portugal.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on July 10, 2024, the US Department of State announced that Denmark and the Netherlands had begun transferring F-16 aircraft to Ukraine.
As a reminder, on August 4, President Zelenskyy officially confirmed the arrival of the first F-16s to Ukraine. That day, the aircraft were publicly displayed.
We also wrote that in early October, Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans announced that Ukraine had received the first Dutch F-16s.
