First F-16s from the Netherlands arrive in Ukraine – Defense Minister Brekelmans

The first F-16 fighters from the Netherlands have been delivered to Ukraine.

The Minister of Defense of the Netherlands, Ruben Brekelmans, announced this on X on Sunday, October 6.

The Minister of Defense of the Netherlands visited Kharkiv, where he saw the consequences of the bombing of the city by the russian invaders. Brekelmans announced that Ukraine has already received the first F-16 fighters.

"For the first time, I can officially announce that the first Dutch F-16s have been delivered to Ukraine. This is urgently needed. In Kharkiv, I saw the damage from Russian airstrikes and heard frequent air raid alarms. The rest of the 24 jets will follow in the coming months," Brekelmans wrote.

According to him, the rest of the 24 planes will arrive in Ukraine in the coming months.
