Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan urge their citizens to leave Ukraine

The embassies of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan have advised their citizens to leave Ukraine due to the increase in artillery shelling and air strikes.

This is indicated in the statements of the diplomatic missions on Wednesday, November 20.

"Due to the increase in artillery shelling and air strikes in Ukraine, the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Ukraine recommends that citizens of Kazakhstan leave the territories close to the places of active hostilities, or consider the possibility of leaving Ukraine. The embassy urges all citizens not to ignore the air raid warning and immediately take shelter, observe their own safety measures and follow the recommendations of official authorities," the embassy of Kazakhstan stressed.

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic once again strongly recommends that citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic increase personal security measures and, if possible, leave the territory of Ukraine until the situation is fully stabilized," the statement says.

At the same time, the Embassy of Azerbaijan will not hold a consular reception on November 21-22, taking into account information about increased security risks.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv warned of a possible air strike on Ukraine on November 20.
