A high-intensity war is ongoing in Ukraine, so there is currently no reason to talk about the beginning of a political process. The Economist's information about the date of the elections and the ceasefire are not true.
Mykhailo Podoliak, adviser to the head of the President's Office, said this on the air of NV radio on Wednesday, November 13.
Podoliak emphasized that the concept circulates in the Western media with references to anonymous sources, but without explanations of the logic and prerequisites of their statements. According to him, the war is in a heated phase, and russia, the aggressor country, has no intention of going to negotiations, but only ultimatum demands.
"I don't see any reason to calmly talk about the beginning of a political season, a political process. Because, I emphasize once again, the war is of high intensity, extremely high intensity. And it seems to me that this should be obvious to our Western partners as well. To summarize briefly, I have repeatedly seen publications about the political process, and about the possibility of freezing the conflict, and about the possibility of the negotiation process," Podoliak emphasized.
98% of materials with reference to anonymous sources write about the need to force Ukraine to make concessions, while there are no such demands for russia, Podoliak said. In his opinion, such a position looks "absolutely immoral".

At the same time, the Ukrainian military does not believe that the initiative of the U.S. President-elect Donald Trump is capable of stopping the war.
