Russia can use military from DPRK in Kursk Oblast, and then send them to TOT of Ukraine – Center for Countering Disinformation

The aggressor country russia may involve military personnel from North Korea (DPRK) in the fighting on the territory of the Kursk Oblast. After that, they may also appear in the occupied territories of Ukraine.

Andrii Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, has written this.

According to him, at first the russians may try to use North Korean military personnel in the Kursk Oblast, where the military operation of the Defense Forces of Ukraine has been ongoing since the beginning of August.

Kovalenko also does not rule out that after training on russian training grounds, North Korean soldiers may be sent to the occupied territories of Ukraine. There, he believes, they may appear in parts of the russian army, where they are serving as Buryats.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in early October, South Korean Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun said that North Korea will probably send several thousand troops to support the russian occupation army.

Later, the American edition of The Washington Post wrote that several thousand military personnel from the DPRK are being trained on training grounds in the russian federation.

Yesterday, October 14, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, after a meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, announced that the involvement of the DPRK in the war on the side of the russian federation will take place in the fall and winter of this year.

And today, October 15, the Suspilne newspaper wrote with reference to its own sources in the Ukrainian intelligence that the russian federation is forming a so-called "Buryat battalion", which will be staffed by military personnel from the DPRK.
