The Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has conducted a special operation, thanks to which the minesweeper of the Baltic Fleet of the Armed Forces of the aggressor country russia Alexander Obukhov was disabled.
The Defense Intelligence said this in statement on Monday, October 7.
"The ship, which was based in the city of Baltiysk and was supposed to go on combat duty, suffered severe damage - due to the mysterious appearance of a hole in the gas pipe, water got into the engine: the Obukhov choked," the message says.
As a result of the special operation, the russian minesweeper was sent for major repairs, but the russians may have serious problems with this. The Defense Intelligence noted that the repair of the key installation on the ship is technically difficult and expensive, since the damaged M-503 engine is a scarce item. At the same time, Alexander Obukhov was repaired in the city of St. Petersburg only in July. Over the past six months, the second ship of the Baltic Fleet has been neutralized, the Defense Intelligence emphasized.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in April in the Primorsky Krai of the russian federation, a fire broke out on the Katerina Velikaya multifunctional supply vessel of the IBSV 10022 AH project. This ship was launched from the shipyard only three years ago and was considered the "pride" of the russian federation.
Also in April, the Serpukhov missile ship was disabled on the territory of the russian naval base in the city of Baltiysk, Kaliningrad Oblast of russia.
On February 14, the Defense Intelligence in cooperation with the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine destroyed the Big Landing Ship, Tsezar Kunikov, of the Black Sea Fleet of the aggressor state of russia.
