In the first half of the year, Ukrnafta, the largest oil producing company, received an additional 5,300 tons of oil after a series of well repairs.
The company has said this in a statement, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
These are six well operations performed by external partners who won tenders on the Prozorro public procurement platform.
"The result of all the measures taken as of August 2023 is 5,300 tons of additional oil production and 8.061 million cubic meters of gas," Ukrnafta director Serhii Koretskyi said.
According to him, the company expects an additional 23,000 tons of oil and 30 million cubic meters of natural gas per year.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Ukrnafta ended 2023 with a net profit of UAH 23.6 billion.
In 2023, Ukrnafta increased production of oil with condensate by 3% to 1.41 million tons compared to 2022.
In November 2022, the shares of the companies Motor Sich, Ukrnafta, AvtoKrAZ, Zaporizhtransformator (ZTR) and Ukrtatnafta were alienated into the property of the state for the period of martial law.
After its completion, the assets may be returned to their owners or their value may be reimbursed.
