Law enforcement officers not found yet gun with which linguist Farion was killed

Law enforcement officers have not yet found the gun with which Lviv Polytechnic professor, linguist Iryna Farion was killed.

The Minister of Interior Affairs Ihor Klymenko announced this at a press conference, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"The gun has not been found yet. But I think it will be a matter of a few days," the minister said.

According to him, the investigation established that the suspect in the murder was not interested in combat weapons, but was looking for the Stalker sports weapon on the Internet.

According to Klymenko, such a weapon can be converted into a combat weapon.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the prosecutor's office informed a 18-year-old man about the suspicion of murdering the linguist Farion and is asking the court to take him into custody.

Minister of Interior Affairs Ihor Klymenko believes that the suspect decided to kill former Verkhovna Rada Member, linguist Iryna Farion as the most vulnerable on his list, which also included Verkhovna Rada Member from the Servant of the People faction Maksym Buzhanskyi.

On July 19, around 7:30 p.m., an unknown man shot Farion with a firearm in Lviv, Farion died in the hospital that evening.
