The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) will dismiss criminal proceedings against the murdered professor and linguist Iryna Farion.
This was reported to the Ukrainian News Agency by informed sources, as well as evidenced by the current legislation of Ukraine.

Article 284 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine provides grounds for dismissal of criminal proceedings.
In particular, it is the absence of proper, admissible and sufficient evidence to establish the guilt of the accused; absence of a criminal offense in the committed act; release of a person from criminal proceedings; reaching a compromise.
Also, the case is dismissed in the event of the death of a suspect, accused person, in respect of whom sufficient evidence has been collected to serve suspicion of committing a criminal offense, but no suspicion has been served in connection with his death, except in cases where the proceedings are necessary for the rehabilitation of the deceased.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Security Service of Ukraine recently announced that it is continuing its investigation into linguist and professor of the Ukrainian language Iryna Farion.
The Security Service of Ukraine initiated criminal proceedings and ordered a number of expert examinations regarding the statements of Iryna Farion.
On July 19, around 7:30 p.m. in Lviv, an unknown person shot Iryna Farion with a firearm on Masaryka Street. As a result of the shooting, Farion received a severe head injury. She was hospitalized at the Saint Panteleimon Hospital, where she was in intensive care for some time. Despite the efforts of doctors, Iryna Farion died three hours after the attempt.
