France is preparing a new military aid package for Ukraine. New weapons and other military property will be handed over to the Ukrainian military, who will go to French military camps for training at the end of this year.
This was reported by France Info with reference to its own sources in the French Ministry of Defense.
According to the publication, at the end of this year, 2,100 Ukrainian servicemen will arrive in France for training. The whole process will last two months.
The soldiers undergoing training will be stationed in France. These are the same centers that annually receive French soldiers before each operation in a foreign theater of operations. A small part of the training will be decentralized for tank training.
France will also provide equipment for the Ukrainian military.
According to a document obtained by France Info, the Ukrainian military will receive 128 VAB armored personnel carriers, 18 CAESAR self-propelled artillery systems and 24 light tanks. It is probably the AMX-10 RC.
Anti-tank missiles, trucks, radars and other military equipment will also be provided.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on July 16, the French Ambassador to Ukraine, Gaël Veyssière, said that Paris is going to hand over Mirage 2000-5 fighter jets to Kyiv in record time.
It will be recalled that at the beginning of June it became known that the Franco-German arms manufacturer KNDS announced the creation of a subsidiary in Ukraine.
