Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán met with former US President Donald Trump on July 12 at his Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida.
He wrote about this on the X social network (Twitter).
In his social media post, Orbán referred to Trump as "the President of the United States," omitting the word "former."
"Peace mission 5.0. It was an honour to visit President Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago today. We discussed ways to make peace. The good news of the day: he’s going to solve it!" Orbán wrote.
As DW reports, to visit Trump, Orbán left the NATO summit early, where he was replaced by the head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry, Péter Szijjártó.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on July 2, Viktor Orbán came to Kyiv to meet with Volodymyr Zelenskyy. He called for a "pause" in the war and a "cease fire."
After Kyiv, Orbán went to Moscow and met with the russian dictator. At the same time, the EU denied that Orbán has any authority to conduct "peace negotiations".
However, Orbán did not stop at the Kremlin and went to China, where he met with the country's leader, Xi Jinping.
