Prime Minister of Sweden calls Orbán’s visit to moscow insult to Ukrainian people

Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson said that Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s visit to moscow during Hungary's presidency of the European Union sends the wrong signal to the outside world and is an insult to the Ukrainian people. He emphasized that Orbán is alone in this and does not speak on behalf of the EU.

Prime Minister of Sweden Ulf Kristersson wrote about this on X.

Thus, he noted that it is "irresponsible and disloyal" for Viktor Orbán to use Hungary's presidency of the EU for a visit to moscow and president putin.

"It sends the wrong signal to the outside world and is an insult to the Ukrainian people’s fight for their freedom. Viktor Orbán stands alone in this. He does not speak for the European Union and not for other EU Heads of State or Government,” the message says.
