AFU destroy 880 occupiers, 50 armored vehicles and tanks. General Staff reports losses of russians per day

As of Monday morning, February 26, russia's losses in the war in Ukraine amounted to 880 occupiers, the total number of losses of the russian army since the beginning of the invasion amounted to 410,700 troops. In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out successful operations, destroying 13 tanks, 12 artillery systems and 37 armored fighting vehicles.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this in on Facebook, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The total combat losses of the enemy from 02/24/22 to 02/26/24 were approximately:

• personnel - 410,700 (+ 880) people eliminated;
• tanks - 6,555 (+ 13) units;
• armored fighting vehicles - 12,478 (+ 37) units;
• artillery systems - 9,993 (+ 12) units;
• MLRS - 1,000 (+ 1) units;
• air defense equipment - 686 (+ 2) units;
• aircraft - 340 units;
• helicopters - 325 units;
• operational-tactical level UAVs - 7,707 (+ 26) units;
• cruise missiles -1,910 (+ 3) units;
• ships/boats - 25 units;
• submarines - 1 unit;
• motor vehicle and tank trucks - 13,037 (+ 26) units;
• special equipment - 1,580 (+ 2) units.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on February 23, the commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk, confirmed that the Ukrainian Defense Forces shot down a russian long-range radar detection and control aircraft A-50 "Shmel” (Bumblebee).

This is the second A-50 plane lost by the russians since the beginning of the year. Last month, the Ukrainian military shot down a similar aircraft over the Sea of Azov.
