The Cabinet of Ministers is obliged to submit to the Verkhovna Rada a bill on lobbying and lobbying activities before March 20, 2024.
This is stated in the text of the law "On law-making activities," which entered into force on September 20, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
According to it, the government must submit a bill within six months from the date of entry into force of the law "On law-making activities," that is, before March 20 next year.
Recall that the head of the Servant of the People faction in the Verkhovna Rada, David Arakhamia, announced the consideration of the law on lobbying.
According to him, the law will provide that individuals and organizations will submit data on their donors to the National Agency on Corruption Prevention.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on October 17, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a bill on lifetime financial monitoring of Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs).
Member of Parliament from the Holos faction Yaroslav Zhelezniak noted that the bill was approved for the second reading in accordance with AML/CFT (anti-money laundering and counter terrorist financing) standards, and would be credited as fulfilling the requirements of the International Monetary Fund. He added that this IMF requirement should have been fulfilled by the end of September this year.
