As of September 1, agricultural enterprises harvested 29.184 million tons of early grain and leguminous crops from an area of 6,642,000 hectares with a yield of 43.9 centners per hectare, as well as more than 4 million tons of oilseeds.
This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
Currently, 5.809 million tons of barley have been ground on an area of 1,498,000 hectares with a yield of 38.8 centners per hectare.
Also, 22,142 million tons of wheat were collected from an area of 4,688,000 hectares with a yield of 47.2 centners per hectare and 385,700 tons of peas from an area of 154,000 hectares with a yield of 25 centners per hectare.
Besides, 34,100 tons of millet were ground on an area of 16,700 hectares with a yield of 20.4 centners per hectare and 27,700 tons of buckwheat on an area of 19,800 hectares with a yield of 14 centners per hectare.
Other grain and leguminous crops were ground in the volume of 785,400 tons on an area of 265,300 hectares.
The highest yield of grain and leguminous crops was among the farmers of the Khmelnytskyi Region - 64.5 centners per hectare.
Agricultural producers of the Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Poltava, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv Regions began collecting buckwheat and millet, Odesa, Ternopil and Kherson Regions - millet.
Farmers in 17 regions finished harvesting rapeseed.
In particular, 3,997,000 tons of rapeseeds (yield - 28.7 centners per hectare) were ground on an area of 1,393,000 hectares.
Sunflowers were ground in the volume of 49,400 tons of seeds (yield - 19.3 centners per hectare), collection was carried out on an area of 25,600 hectares, soybeans were ground in the volume of 30,600 tons (yield - 27.3 centners per hectare), the collection area is 11,200 hectares.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, at the end of June, harvest began in Ukraine.
Earlier, farmers completed the sowing of spring crops.
A total of 12.75 million hectares of grain, leguminous crops and oilseeds, as well as 213,000 hectares of sugar beet were planted.
In particular, grain and legumes were sown on an area of 5.672 million hectares, sunflower sowing was carried out on an area of 5.308 million hectares.
