In the occupied Crimea, the russian S-400 Triumf long- and medium-range anti-aircraft missile system was destroyed at Cape Tarkhankut.
This is stated in the message of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"On August 23, 2023, around 10:00 a.m., an explosion occurred near the village of Olenivka on Cape Tarkhankut in the temporarily occupied Crimea, which destroyed the russian long- and medium-range S-400 Triumf anti-aircraft missile system. As a result of the explosion, the system itself, the missiles installed on it and the personnel were completely destroyed," the message says.
The Defense Intelligence notes that given the limited number of such complexes in the enemy's arsenal, this is a painful blow to the air defense system of the occupiers, which will have a serious impact on further events in the occupied Crimea.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, previously the advisor to the mayor of Mariupol, Petro Andriushchenko, reported that on August 23, an enemy coastal anti-ship missile complex Bastion was hit in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
The day before, the head of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense Kyrylo Budanov promised that Ukrainians will one day see how the russian occupiers are being destroyed in Crimea.
