Farmers harvest 11.2 million tons of early grain

As of July 28, agricultural enterprises harvested 11.224 million tons of early grain and leguminous crops from an area of 2,672,000 hectares with a yield of 42.2 centners per hectare.

This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Currently, 2.881 million tons of barley have been ground on an area of ​ ​ 730,800 hectares with a yield of 39.4 centners per hectare.

8.063 million tons of wheat were also collected from an area of ​ ​ 1,816,000 hectares with a yield of 44.4 centners per hectare and 280,100 tons of peas from an area of ​ ​ 113,300 hectares with a yield of 24.7 centners per hectare.

The leaders in grain collection are agricultural producers of the Mykolaiv Region, they threshed 414,800 hectares, and the largest threshing was in the Odesa Region - 1,808,000 tons.

Agrarians of the Vinnytsia, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv and Ternopil Regions have finished collecting peas.

Also, the collection of winter rapeseeds continues, which were threshed on an area of ​ ​ 931,300 hectares, 2,497,500 tons of seeds were threshed at a yield of 26.8 centners per hectare.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, harvesting began in Ukraine.

Earlier, farmers completed the sowing of spring crops.

A total of 12.75 million hectares of grain, leguminous and oilseeds, as well as 213,000 hectares of sugar beet are planted.

In particular, grain and legumes were sown on an area of ​ ​ 5.672 million hectares, sunflower sowing was carried out on an area of ​ ​ 5.308 million hectares.
