Farmers of 3 regions begin harvesting winter crops

Farmers of the Odesa, Mykolaiv and Dnipropetrovsk Regions began harvesting winter crops: barley, wheat and peas.

This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The harvesting was carried out on an area of ​ ​ 66,200 hectares with a yield of 32.8 centners per hectare.

Also, farmers of the Odesa Region began to collect rapeseeds, they threshed 700 hectares and ground 900 tons of seeds with a yield of 12.9 centners per hectare.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, harvesting began in Ukraine.

Earlier, farmers completed the sowing of spring crops.

A total of 12.75 million hectares of grain, leguminous and oilseeds, as well as 213,000 hectares of sugar beet were sown.

In particular, grain and legumes were sown on an area of ​ ​ 5.672 million hectares, sunflower sowing was carried out on an area of ​ ​ 5.308 million hectares.
