The reform of the territorial recruitment and social support centers will be carried out after resolving the issue of raising salaries for military personnel.
Deputy Defense Minister Vasyl Shkurakov announced this during the hour of questions to government in the Verkhovna Rada, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"Regarding the reform of the territorial recruitment and social support centers, this is one of the key reforms that the Ministry of Defense is implementing today. After the issue of increasing the financial support and maintenance of military personnel directly involved in the frontline is accordingly resolved, we will also present to the government, including the Verkhovna Rada, the changes that we plan to implement in reforming this particular area of the Ministry of Defense's work," he said.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced that the government will present a military reform in the coming weeks, which, in particular, will provide for an increase in the financial support of military personnel and terms of service.
