One person was killed and at least eleven others were injured in Dnipro as a result of a missile strike carried out by the russian aggressor’s military on Sunday afternoon, May 3.

Oleksandr Hanzha, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, has reported this.

According to him, the occupiers’ strike hit one of Dnipro’s residential neighborhoods. As a result of the strike, a dormitory building was damaged. At the time of the attack, people were in the basement.

Later, Hanzha reported that one person was killed as a result of the occupiers’ strike. The number of people who sustained injuries and wounds rose to eleven. Six of them were hospitalized.

Prior to this, the head of the Regional Military Administration reported that two men aged 21 and 24, as well as a 69-year-old woman, had been taken to the hospital. Medical personnel assess their condition as moderate.

The "East" Air Command of the Ukrainian Air Force reported that around 3:00 p.m., the occupiers attacked Dnipro with five Kh-59/69 cruise missiles. Ukrainian forces shot down four missiles; another failed to reach its target due to electronic countermeasures.

One of the downed missiles fell on a civilian building. It is likely that this was the missile that struck the dormitory building.

As the Ukrainian News agency previously reported, earlier today, May 3, in the Dnipropetrovsk Region, the occupiers struck near a gas station. A bus carrying 40 children was in the blast zone. Six people sustained injuries and trauma.

We also reported that a bus carrying medical workers, who were on their way to a community for vaccinations, was hit during the attack.
